Best places for ...
Hi, this is the "Best places for.." section. Did you ever wonder which is the best place to make Health Essences? Or the best places to train on a certain monster type? Here is where to search for it :)
Be warned: This is not primarily intended for beginners - often these places require you to travel to C2 and some medium fighting skills to scare off monsters.
Harvesting
There are tons of places to harvest things, but there are always some spots which are much better than others.
Coal
- Whitestone Gargoyles Cave (C1)
In the north of Whitestone, close to the Nordcarn exit, there is a cave with Gargoyles. Right at the entry you can find a coal deposit. The closest storage is Nordcarn storage. This is much closer than Desert Pines.
Red Roses
- Valley of the Dwarves (C1)
Right beside the way from storage to the Nordcarn exit you will find red roses around a tree on the east of the path (just across the red snapdragons at the rock). This is very close to the VotD storage, and you can even leave the storage window open.
Red Snapdragons
- Valley of the Dwarves (C1)
Right beside the way from storage to the Nordcarn exit you will find red snapdragons by the side of a large rock on the west side the path (just across the red roses at the tree). This is very close to the VotD storage, and you can even leave the storage window open.
Alchemy
Health Essences
- Cave connection Trassian and Iscalrith (C2)
This cave contain silver ore right at the exit to Trassian. Hidden in the flower bush with Blue Star Flowers you can find some Chrysanthemums. Around the fountain red toadstools are growing. In the other bushes you can find Vegetables. Don't let yourself be fooled by the eerie colors, everything looks a bit bluish in there. The closest storage is the Glacmor skill school. On your way from storage to the cave you will take some cold damage (unless you wear cold protection), but the cave itself is not cold.
Fighting
Ogres
- Whitestone Secret Area ("The Meep") (C1)
It is a single ogre spawn, but there is also a troll spawn in there which makes sure this training session is going to earn you good money. Plus, it's rather close to a storage (NC storage) and still not as widely known as Vermor Castle.
- Idaloran Mines (C2)
Right at the east entrance to the mines, there are three ogre spawns. It's impossible to train on all three, but it is possible to use the first two spawns as a double spawn. Beware of the cyclopses that also roam those mines; they rarely come close to this area, but there is a chance.
